Grant Purpose: To support the expansion of Gan Alameda, the only Jewish preschool on Alameda island. Gan Alameda is moving to a larger home that can accommodate an additional 12 preschool students. There are an estimated 2,500 Jewish households on Alameda Island, and the Chabad has engaged over 400 families in Jewish programming there since opening in 2017.
